2010/2011 – the Argo
A refinement of 2009/2010′s submission to the Urban Concept Car class, the second revision of the Argo sported several improvements. It had a more rigid steering system, improved driver interface with the vehicle, a new door mechanism for reduced exit time in case of an emergency, custom spoked lightweight wheels, and the first iteration of a newly developed, 50cc engine. Despite a larger engine, added features and improved rigidity to the vehicle, the overall weight was reduced to 225 pounds.
2009/2010 – the Argo
UBCST’s first entry into the Urban Concept Car class, the Argo featured a carbon fibre body, side opening door, honeycomb platform chassis, four scooter cast aluminum wheels and a 35cc Honda four stroke engine. The car demonstrated 163.5 mpg, giving the team a solid design to work with in future years.
